Brotato features an interesting RPG roguelike top-down arena shooter where you take on the role of a potato character. While picking one of the best weapons in the game can increase your power and success in the game, having a powerful character is also crucial.

But since each character has its own pros and cons, it can be a challenge to decide on the right one. To help you out, we created this Brotato tier list, which ranks the best characters from the SS tier to the D tier.

The SS tier includes the best heroes in the game, and they are perfect for almost any situation. These characters have a great mix of speed, strength, and defensive capabilities, making them some of the best fighters in Brotato.

SS-Tier Characters (OP)

These are the best characters to use in Brotato at the moment:

  • Generalist (unlocks Big Arms)
  • Jack (unlocks Giant Belt)
  • Gladiator (unlocks Spider)
  • Pacifist (unlocks Panda)

Generalist

Generalist - the best character in Brotato

Generalist is overall the best character you can have in Brotato. This character can be unlocked after collecting at least 300 Materials for the first time. It comes with the possibility to purchase a powerful tier-4 item, the Big Arms. The item will cost you 102 Materials and it will boost your Melee Damage by 10 and Ranged Damage by 5.

  • +2 Melee Damage for every 1 Ranged Damage you have
  • +1 Ranged Damage for every 2 Melee Damage you have
  • You can only equip 3 ranged and 3 melee weapons at a time

Jack

Jack - Brotato character

Jack is a great Brotato character for fighting elite enemies and bosses. You can unlock Jack by defeating a boss or elite enemy in less than 15 seconds.

This character will offer you a chance of purchasing the Giant Belt, a tier 4 item that causes a 10% bonus damage based on the enemy’s health for all of Jack’s critical hits.

Gladiator

Gladiator is the best Melee character in Brotato. You can unlock it after defeating at least 2000 enemies. This character will unlock Spider, a tier 4 item. If you purchase this item for 120 Materials, it will increase your character’s damage by 12%, and Attack Speed for any other weapons you have by 6%.

  • +20% Attack Speed for every different weapon you have

Pacifist

Pacifist - Brotato character

Pacifist requires 10,000 Materials to unlock, which is not easy to achieve, but is definitely worth the effort. This Brotato character will unlock Panda, also a tier 4 item that will cost you 100 Materials and offer a significant increase in Luck and Max HP. This item will help your character last longer in battle as it will increase its Health regeneration and Armor.
