In Game of Empires: Warring Realms, heroes have different purposes and roles on the battlefield. They also have different Rarities, Skills, and potential bonuses that make them essential for the success of your squads. With so many stats and abilities to consider, it can be difficult to determine which are the best heroes in this strategy mobile title. To make things easier for you, we have created a tier list of the highest-rated heroes.

S-Tier (Best Options)

These are the best heroes in Game of Empires Warring Realms. They are strong in all aspects, especially for attacking other players’ cities, capable of dealing great damage.

  • Joan of Arc (Priest units, Support, Common)
  • Hanzo (Cavalry units, Skill, Expedition)
  • Temujin (Cavalry units, Mobility, Expedition)
  • Richard The Lionheart (Infantry units, Defense, Garrison)

Great support and defense. In our A-Tier, we’ve included heroes who are good for supporting your squad during a battle. At the top of this tier, we have Charlemagne and Joan of Arc with their powerful healing buffs, good defense, and the Common ability, which means that they can boost the abilities of any type of unit in your squad.

They are followed by Temujin and Hanzo, both being capable of doing good damage but because of their Expedition ability, they are better suited for attacking Barbarians and other neutral units. B-Tier Heroes (Average)

  • Ivan IV (All units, DPS, Siege)
  • Pompey (Archer units, Skill, Siege)
  • Nobunaga (Infantry units, Skill, Field Battle)
  • Hermann (All units, DPS, Siege)

Good offense alternative. The B-Tier is the light version of the S-Tier and here we have heroes that are good at attacking other cities. But because their Rarity is Epic and not Legendary as the S-Tier, their base stats and potential bonuses are lower. However, this doesn’t mean that they can’t be used in a successful attack.

At the top of our B-Tier list is Ivan IV (or Ivan the Terrible) with his good damage effect, being able of leading any type of unit due to his Leadership ability. He is followed by Pompei, which surprisingly has the highest Attack stat for Homeland Defense, the newest game mode.

Ivan IV

Ivan IV - Epic B-Tier Hero
  • Rarity: Epic
  • Best for Leading: All units
  • Combat Role: DPS
  • Best for: Siege
  • Potential 1: Attack of all units up to +5%

  • Cleopatra (Priest units, Support, Common)
  • Kim Deokman (Priest units, Support, Common)
  • Vlad Dracula (Cavalry units, DPS, Expedition)
  • Belisarius (Cavalry units, Skill, Expedition)
  • Timur (Cavalry units, Mobility, Expedition)

A mix of good support and offense. The C-Tier is filled with heroes that are good for both offense and support. And by good, I mean less effective than S-Tier due to the fact that they are also Epic heroes as those from the previous tier. Consider it as an alternative for A-Tiered heroes. D Tier Heroes (Weakest)

  • Edward I (Cavalry units, Skill, Garrison)
  • Mulan (Archer units, Skill, Garrison)
  • Charles Martel (Infantry units, Skill, Garrison)
  • Hussar Elite (Cavalry units, DPS, Expedition)
  • Praetorian Prefect (Infantry units, Defense, Expedition)

Garrison and city development. The D-Tier are the lowest-rated heroes in Game of Empires Warring Realms and should be used only if you don’t have better alternatives.

These heroes are suitable for Garrisoning and city development, as they have a decent combination of defense and resource gathering.

How We Compiled the Tier List

We’ve compiled our tier list of Game of Empires Warring Realms heroes using a variety of factors such as base stats, each hero’s unique skills, potential bonuses, the type of game mode that each hero is best for (whether is a PvP Siege or a Barbarian fight), but also each hero’s role in battle (based on DPS, Defense, or Support). We then ranked all heroes across a 5-tier system, with Tier S being the highest and Tier D being the lowest.

Best hero combination

As a beginner in Game of Empires Warring Realms, you can only have one hero in a troop/squad. But once you upgrade a hero to level 20, you will be able to pick a second hero as the deputy.

The best hero combination is to pick an S-Tier as the main hero and an A-Tier as the deputy, this way you will have both high damage output and good support.

Game of Empires Tier List Deciding factors

Hero Rarity

In Game of Empires Warring Realms, heroes are categorized into 3 types of Rarities: Rare (blue), Epic (purple), and Legendary (orange). The best heroes in the game are those having the Legendary Rarity, as they have the highest stats and most powerful skills, and potential bonuses.

Hero skills’ base stats

The best heroes in the game also have powerful skills that can give a huge boost to your squad during a battle. Although all skills can be upgraded, it is also important of taking into consideration the base stats for each hero’s skill. For example, Frederick I Barbarossa has a 600 damage multiplier attack with his Infinite Waves skill, which can easily take out enemy squads in a single hit.

Another hero with powerful skills is Edward the Black Prince, who is capable of doing damage to up to 5 enemy troops in a cone with a 550 damage multiplier attack. These stats apply to a level 1 skill and the more you upgrade the hero skills and unlock more skill slots, the stronger the heroes will become.

The type of units a hero can lead

Another critical factor for choosing a good hero is the type of units the hero can lead. Some heroes such as those having Leadership ability are able to lead all types of units, while others are more specialized, able to lead only a certain type, whether is Infantry, Archer, Cavalry, or Priest units.

Combat Role

The hero’s combat role is also a factor to consider, as some heroes are better suited for defending the city or attacking enemy cities, while other heroes are more suited for Barbarian fights or healing your squad.

Conclusion

Choosing the best hero is not an easy task, as there are many factors to consider. But by following the steps above, and inspiration from our hero tier lists for Game of Empires Warring Realms, you should be able to pick the best hero for your needs.
