How to get new powerful characters

Tavern – the building responsible for summoning heroes

In Heroes Awaken, you can obtain new heroes through various methods in the Tavern building using Scrolls, Gems, or Friend Points. The default and most common way to get heroes, however, is the All Races option.

You can either use your scrolls to summon characters individually or consume 2700 gems to summon them in groups of 10. However, we highly recommend using the 10x option as it will give you better hero drop chances. You can also summon heroes from one of the 5 main races: Elf, Undead, Goblin, Human, and Beast. Every day one of these races will be active, during which time you can summon heroes from that particular race.

If the current hero race is not of interest to you, save your scrolls and gems for the next day as the 300 gems switch price is honestly not worth it. Although the race summons method might be useful if you are looking to get a particular hero, there is a big disadvantage – does not include Legendary heroes but only Common, Rare, and Epic ones.

Last but not least, you can recruit new characters via the Friend system using friend points (also known as hearts), where 1 summon costs 10 hearts and 10 summons 100 hearts. The hearts can be obtained by receiving and sending them to your friends and you can get up to 20 hearts every day.

Unfortunately, the odds of acquiring Epic heroes are considerably lower than other methods (2.41% vs. 4.61%). The good news is that drop chances for Legendary heroes are the same as the All Races option (0.1%).

The gameplay basics of Heroes Awaken: Idle RPG

Heroes Awaken puts you directly in the shoes of a powerful hero, tasked with building your own team and conquering various challenges. The game’s main focus is on collecting heroes from different races and classes, training them, and using their unique abilities to defeat enemies.

You will have access to a variety of game modes, including the Campaign stages, raid bosses, dungeons, the tower, and the PvP arena, but also several new essential features in the Fortress tab.

The game’s primary currencies

Heroes Awaken has two main currencies: gold coins and gems. Gold coins can be earned by completing tasks and challenges in the game, while diamonds are harder to get and can be purchased with real money via the Merchant tab, or earned by completing quests, climbing the Madness Tower, and participating in PvP arena battles.

Gold coins are used to upgrade heroes, whereas gems are used to acquire new heroes via the Tavern building in the Fortress section of the game.

Both currencies can also be used to acquire items and resources in the Store (again, via the Fortress tab), and are displayed at the top of the screen but also in the inventory bag. To access the bag, tap the little arrow pointing downward, located below the Quests button in the upper right corner of the Campaign page.

The importance of assembling a balanced squad

Proper Team Composition in Heroes Awaken

In Heroes Awaken, there are 7 different races that heroes can belong to: humans, elves, goblins, undead, beasts, and two special races that are more difficult to get – Demon, and God. Each race has its own advantages and disadvantages over the others, so it’s important to consider this when building your team:

  • The human heroes are stronger than the beast ones but weaker than goblins
  • Beast heroes beat elven ones but are weaker than humans
  • Elven heroes are better than goblins but lose to beasts
  • Goblin characters are stronger than undead ones but weaker than elven heroes
  • Undead heroes are more powerful than humans but weaker than goblins
  • Demons and Gods both have their strengths and weaknesses, the hero level and skills being the main factors that determine their superiority.

Aside from their races, each hero also has a specific role to play in battle: Ranger, Warrior, Mage, Knight, Healer, and Assassin. Ranger, warrior, and assassin heroes are considered damage dealers and have strong offensive capabilities.

For more details on this, visit our Heroes Awaken tier list as we ranked all the characters in the game according to their roles, power and usefulness in battles.

Knights and healers are support heroes, providing buffs and heals, and high defense to the team. Mages are powerful spellcasters with a mix of offense and support skills.

Therefore, it is crucial to have a well-balanced team with a mix of races, roles, and classes to effectively navigate through different game modes and challenges in Heroes Awaken. Experiment with different combinations and find the perfect balance that gives you the most effective bonuses for your team!

Completing Campaign stages is crucial

Campaign Stages and Chapters in Heroes Awaken

As a beginner to Heroes Awaken, it’s important to complete as many chapters and stages in the campaign mode first. Not only will this help you level up faster and earn more rewards, but it will also unlock additional features in the game such as Union Blessing Info, the ability to join or create clans, Beast Grounds, Bounty Hunter, Matrix of Deity, and many others.

The higher your campaign stage progress is, the better your overall ranking in the game will be. Not only this, but the number of items and resources you get from your AFK reward also depends on how much progress you make in the Campaign mode. So keep progressing through the chapters and stages to unlock more features and earn better rewards.

Keep upgrading your heroes to gain power

Upgrading a hero's skills and equipment

In Heroes Awaken, hero progression is crucial for success in battles. In general, you can level up your heroes with gold coins and blue stones earned via the AFK reward. However, once every 10 or 20 levels you will have a break limit that will require a third special item called Hero Essence. Breaking this limit will also unlock more skills for that specific hero and highly increase its power.

Moreover, you can ascend your heroes to a higher grade via the building with the same name located in the Fortress tab.

Depending on the hero’s rarity, this process will consume one or more duplicates of the same character, and it is also a great way to gain more power in Heroes Awaken. That being said, it’s crucial to constantly upgrade and strengthen your heroes to progress through the game.

Explore Countryside modes for unique rewards

The Countryside tab also offers different modes that are worth exploring for additional rewards. These are vital for new players and include raids, dungeons, The Challenge of Deity, the Madness Tower and many more.

For instance, the Madness Tower consists of multiple floors that need to be cleared by defeating various enemies and offers generous amounts of gold coins, gems, hero essence, and hero tokens.

Dungeons, on the other hand, are refreshed every 48 hours and offer two battle options in the form of shrines: the normal and hard battle.

Both offer the same rewards that will help you upgrade your squad, with the hard one offering slightly more resources. The rewards for both options/shrines include gold coins, blue stones (used for leveling up heroes), and Challenger Coins that you can use to buy various items in the Challenge Store.

Add a personal touch to your profile

Customizing the Profile

Although customizing your profile in Heroes Awaken does not bring you any direct in-game advantages, it’s a great way to show your personality and stand out among other players. You can do that by changing the assigned username and choosing between different avatars and avatar frames.

For this, tap your default profile image displayed in the upper left corner, and press the feather icon to change the profile image or the paper scroll icon to change your nickname. Keep in mind that although the first nickname change is free, any subsequent change will cost you 12 gems, so choose wisely.

Furthermore, you should consider linking your account by going to your profile page, Settings, and pressing the “Link Account” button. There, you will have two options: Email or Google Play. We highly recommend choosing Google Play. This will make sure your game progress is saved in case you change devices or reinstall the game.

Take advantage of the game’s freebies

Daily Login rewards for the Heroes Awaken mobile game

Heroes Awaken offers numerous ways to earn free rewards and resources, so take advantage of them. For example, you can claim daily login rewards by simply logging in every day.

You also have the AFK reward which includes numerous items and equipment items for your heroes, which is accumulated over 12 hours, even when you are not actively playing the game.

Last but not least, you have Heroes Awaken codes that are released occasionally on their social media platforms, offering gems and other valuable resources. Make sure to keep an eye out for these freebies and take advantage of them to progress faster in the game.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, Heroes Awaken is a highly strategic and engaging mobile RPG that requires you to carefully consider your team composition and hero progression.

By following the Heroes Awaken tips included in this guide, you will have a better understanding of the different races, roles, and classes of heroes available in the game and progress faster in the game. Be consistent with daily tasks, and you will be well on your way to becoming a top-ranking player!
