Battle Stars is a fast-paced and exciting shooting mobile game where the main objective is to dominate the arena and climb the leaderboards. With various game modes, skins, and weapons to unlock, players must strategize and work together with their team to defeat opponents.
This guide will offer you essential tips and tricks for Battle Stars, from choosing the right heroes and weapons to battlefield strategies and earning rewards.
9. Explore the basics before diving into battle
One of the first things to do if you want to dominate the arena is to understand the basic mechanics of the game. That includes playing the tutorial and adjusting the settings menu as per your preferences (e.g. changing the performance setting from 30fps to 60fps).
Knowing the ins and outs of the game will give you an edge over other players. In case you missed the tutorial (I know I did), you can always access it from the menu located in the top right corner of your home screen. Tap the cogwheel icon and hit the tutorial button located at the bottom.
8. Add a personal touch to your game profile
Customize your game profile by choosing a unique name. This will help you stand out in the arena and also express yourself through your character.
You can also change your avatar by selecting a different hero as default. To do that, press the Heroes button in the upper left corner, select any other hero you may have unlocked, and press “Equip”.
7. Upgrade your heroes strategically
When upgrading your heroes in Battle Stars, you should take into consideration not just their base stats but also their rarities, roles, and the weapons they come equipped with. Higher rarity heroes have better stats and offer unique abilities, while each role (Attack, Support, and Defense) has its strengths and weaknesses.
Attackers in general have high damage output, while Defenders have more health, and Support heroes are more balanced between the two. Luckily, we have compiled a Battle Stars tier list and ranked all heroes in the game based on the mentioned factors so you can have an idea of which ones to focus on.
Choose your upgrades wisely depending on your playstyle and the needs of your team. Also, another crucial tip here is to not spend too many resources on your starting character because you will soon get better ones.
6. Do not underestimate the power of Super Weapons
Super Weapons are powerful weapons that can be unlocked after dealing enough damage with your primary weapon. These weapons deal massive damage and can turn the tide of a battle, but they have limited ammo and require a short recharge time after use. Keep an eye on the Super Weapon bar and use it strategically in crucial moments to secure wins or defend yourself from enemy attacks.
5. Keep an eye out for power-ups and use them wisely
Power-ups such as health packs, shields, and speed boosts can give you an advantage in battle. Always keep an eye out for these power-ups and use them strategically to turn the tables in your favor. For example, if you are low on health, prioritize grabbing a health pack rather than engaging in a fight.
A very important tip here is to make sure you use any other power-up you have picked before before collecting a new one. You should also take into consideration the cooldown before heading towards a power-up.
4. Squad up and add some friends
Playing with friends is always more fun, and it can also increase your chances of winning. Form a squad with your friends and communicate effectively to coordinate attacks and support each other in battle. This will also make the game more enjoyable as you can share essential Battle Stars tips and tricks while playing.
Here, you can use the Squad Up mode where you can create a party with your friends, or join a friend’s lobby via a code. If you don’t have any interested friends to play the game with you, do not worry; you can use the game’s Friends system.
3. Try out the various game modes
At the moment, Battle Stars offers 4 different game modes: Team Deathmatch (4vs4), Battle Royale (Solo), Team Rumble (4vs4), and Battle Royale (6 Squads). Try them all out and see which one suits your playstyle best.
Personally, I find the Battle Royale Solo the most boring one as it can take a lot of time to find other players. Still, it’s a good way of training and exploring the map. On the other hand, I find the Team Deathmatch (4vs4) the most entertaining game mode, as it’s fast-paced and action-packed.
2. Use the environment to your advantage
The maps in Battle Stars are filled with obstacles and objects that can be used strategically to outsmart your opponents. For example, you can use walls for cover to escape danger.
You can also hide inside the bushes as you see in the above screenshot, because the enemy players cannot see you while you are inside and surprise them by attacking from unexpected angles.
1. Complete missions and earn rewards
Last but not least, you should also visit the missions page regularly to see if there are any tasks you can complete (or completed already) to earn rewards. These missions range from playing a certain number of matches to defeating a specific number of enemies or using specific weapons.
Completing these missions not only gives you bonus rewards but also helps you progress in the game and unlock new characters, weapons, and skins. These missions can be found via the Bonk Pass season which lasts around 45 days.
There you will have several tabs, some unlocked and some that will be automatically unlocked every few days during the event. So don’t forget to check the mission tabs and complete them before new tabs become available.
