Hero Classes Explained

The heroes in Merger Legion are divided into five distinct classes. Each class has its own unique strengths and use cases, and it’s a good idea to get familiar with them before we dive into our Merger Legion tier list. Here’s a quick overview of each class:

Conqueror – Excels at attacking fortresses, cities, and strongholds. This is the best class for players looking to lead their legion into battle against powerful opponents.

Protector – Most effective in defending fortresses, cities, and strongholds. These heroes are the best choice for players who want to protect their kingdom from incoming attacks.

Sheriff – Excellent at defeating Rogues, and other neutral units. The heroes from this class are great for those who want to focus more on PvE.

Generalist – This type of hero is good for any situation. However, for the best results, it is better to choose a hero that specializes in one particular class.

Gardener – Helps your Kingdom’s economy and support. Increases gathering, rewards, and reduces costs. The heroes having this class are best used for growing and strengthening your kingdom.

What Makes a Powerful Hero in Merger Legion?

Many things make a hero great in Merger Legion. These include the hero’s ability to cause damage, his unique skills, his base attack power, and his overall performance in battle. These are the main things that make a hero powerful in Merger Legion:

Hero Type and Class

Ragnar the best hero in Merger Legion
Ragnar – Conqueror and Assassin hero

The hero’s class and the hero’s type are the two main factors that determine how powerful a hero is. Each class has its main advantages and defines the types of activities you can use your heroes for. For example, is not a good idea to use a hero with the Gardener class to attack enemy fortresses, and strongholds, because he is best used for gathering resources.

The hero type is as well crucial to know since this is what defines the hero’s role in battle. The main hero types are Assassin, Commander, Disruptor, and Executioner. The Assassin is the most powerful type of hero as these heroes specialize in defeating enemy heroes. The second best type is Executioner as the heroes of this type, excel at carving a path through enemy soldiers.

That’s why Ragnar is the best hero in Merger Legion because he has the Conquerer class and he’s an Assassin type of hero.

Hero Rarity

In Merger Legion, the heroes come in four different types of Rarities, which can be identified by their colors: N – green color (also known as Common in other medieval mobile games), R- blue (Rare), SR -purple (Epic), and SSR – orange (also known as Legendary). The N (Common) heroes are the weakest, while SSR (Legendary) heroes have the highest stats and offer the best damage output.

There is also a big difference in terms of overall power between these rarity types. A Common hero, for instance, has a base power (at level 1 and no skill upgrades) of 205, while a Rare hero of 300, followed by Epic heroes with 600, and lastly, the Legendary (SSR) with 1,000 basic power. It’s pretty obvious how big the difference between these rarities is, especially between a Common hero and a Legendary one. Therefore you should always aim for the highest rarity possible, such as those from our S and A tiers.

Another big difference between these 4 rarity types is that only the SR (Epic) and SSR (Legendary) heroes have the 5 skills (the fifth skill is the Awakened skill), while R (Rare), and N (Common) have only 4 skills.

The Skills but mostly the first one

The hero’s Skills are also an important fact when deciding which one to choose. The first skill, however, is the main “determinant” because it’s the one that deals the most damage among all other skills, and is the only active skill. This means that you can use it in battles as soon as it’s fully charged. Plus, the second skill requires a hero level of 40, so it will take you some time to reach that level.
