Last War VIP Explained: Best Levels, Rewards, and VIP 18 Skins

Today we’re breaking down the VIP system in Last War Survival, which boosts your resource production, speeds up progress, and makes your army stronger. I’ll also show you how to unlock two powerful survivors: Adventurer Taylor and Agent Shirley, and take a look at some of the exclusive VIP 18 custom base skins, plus more tips along the way.

So What Is the VIP System?

The VIP system in Last War Survival gives you powerful bonuses that get better with every level. You’ll unlock things like faster resource production, larger squads, and quicker march speeds, making your account stronger step by step.

To really use the VIP system, you need to do two things: first, level up your VIP by earning or buying VIP points. Second, activate your VIP status for a specified period. I’ll explain both in detail soon, but before that, let’s check out the VIP levels that stand out the most.

A quick overview of one of the VIP 18 custom base skins

VIP Level 3: A Great Starting Point

In my opinion, VIP Level 3 is the first level truly worth activating. At this stage, you unlock a 10% boost in construction speed, which helps speed up your base development. Additionally, you gain one rush attempt for clearing the blocks around your base, enabling you to expand your territory faster.

Another cool perk at VIP 3 is that your VIP level will be displayed next to your name in the chat, a great feature for those of you who enjoy standing out from the crowd. If your current VIP level is below 3, I wouldn’t recommend activating VIP just yet, as the benefits are limited.

VIP Level 5: Crafting and Construction Milestone

VIP Level 5 is an impressive milestone. It includes all the buffs and features from previous levels, along with a 20% boost in construction speed and a 25% increase in crafting speed. These bonuses are invaluable, especially considering how long it takes to craft legendary gear, nearly two days without this boost.

Another unique feature unlocked at VIP 5 is the ability to collect all generated resources in your base at once by simply shaking your device. However, this feature also becomes permanently available once you reach Headquarters Level 24.

VIP Level 8: Resource Production and Auto Mode

VIP Level 8 is packed with useful bonuses. You get a 20% boost in resource production for food, iron, and gold, which significantly improves your base’s efficiency. Additionally, you receive a 10% increase in march speed, perfect for saving time during world map activities.

TIP: VIP 8 unlocks the auto mode for Honorable Campaign stages. This is a game-changer for saving time because your squads will handle the campaign levels instantly.

VIP Level 11: Speeding Up Progress

At VIP Level 11, the perks become even more impressive. You gain a stunning 50% boost in construction speed and a 15% increase in research speed, in addition to all the benefits from previous levels. These bonuses make this level ideal for players focused on rapid base and technology development.

VIP Level 15: PvP and Army Growth

VIP Level 15 is a must-have for PvP enthusiasts, especially if you participate in events like the weekly server vs. server battles. You’ll get the 20% unit healing boost from VIP 14, plus an additional 10% increase in training speed. This allows you to build and sustain a powerful army much faster, giving you a competitive edge in combat.

VIP Level 18: The Ultimate Milestone

VIP Level 18 is the highest so far in Last War Survival and the hardest level to achieve, but it’s absolutely worth it. Along with all previous bonuses, this level grants you an exclusive base skin, which I’ll explain in detail shortly.

More importantly, VIP 18 provides a 12.5% increase in HP, attack, and defense for your heroes. This means your squads will deal more damage and survive longer in tough battles, whether you’re battling other players, hunting Doom Elites, or taking down zombies on the world map.

VIP 18 Exclusive Base Skin: How It Works

First, you need to reach VIP Level 18, the highest level in the VIP system. Once you’ve hit this milestone, you’ll need to contact the developers and provide a detailed concept for your custom base skin. Your design should focus on three main elements:

  • a main theme, like a castle, an animal, a ship, or anything else
  • a secondary decoration, which adds extra flair to your base
  • The visual effects, such as stars, smoke, flying bats, a spaceship taking off, or whatever you may think of.

Keep in mind that your ideas must follow some important rules. The design must be unique, meaning it cannot copy an existing exclusive base skin. It also shouldn’t be overly complex, as it may not display or animate well on some mobile devices.

After submitting your ideas, you’ll need to wait approximately three months for the developers to create your custom skin.

While this feature is undeniably cool, it’s worth noting that, as far as I know, these exclusive skins do not provide any additional bonuses like the standard base skins in the game.

To give you an idea of what’s possible, let’s check out some existing custom skins. My favorite so far is the Starwalker skin, created for a player from server 153. The spaceship design is incredible, with its futuristic animations and little spaceships flying around, I love it!

If you already own a VIP Level 18 base skin, let us know in the comments whether these skins come with any gameplay bonuses. Your feedback could help other players decide if it’s worth pursuing this milestone.

How to Level Up Your VIP

Now let’s see how to level up the VIP membership in Last War Survival. First, tap the VIP badge in the top-left corner of your screen while visiting your base.

As I mentioned earlier, you can increase your VIP level by collecting VIP points. The easiest way to get some points is by tapping the daily chest. Keep in mind that the chest offers up to 200 VIP points daily, as long as you log in consistently.

Another way to earn VIP points is by using your gems. Tap the little plus icon next to your current VIP points and choose one of the six options. Each gem equals 1 VIP point, and you can purchase up to 2,500 points at a time

This is one of the smartest ways to spend your red diamonds in Last War Survival, as I’ve mentioned in a previous guide (check out the link in the description for more details).

Lastly, you can also earn VIP points through Alliance Gifts in the Premium tab. Whenever an ally buys a premium pack, rewards will be distributed based on your Alliance Gift level. The higher the level, the better the rewards you’ll receive.

How to activate the VIP status

Let me show you how it works by using my current level as an example. As you can see, I’m at VIP level 11, which brings some incredible bonuses, including 50% faster construction speed and a 15% increase in research speed.

But here’s the important part: these bonuses aren’t automatically active. To apply them, I need to activate the VIP status by pressing the Unlock button at the bottom. This gives you four activation options: 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days (paid with gems), or a premium monthly subscription.

The monthly pass is a standout option with exclusive bonuses. It unlocks a fourth squad for your army, boosts gathering speed by 10%, reduces damage from monsters by 5%, and adds a translate button in the chat for smoother communication.

You’ll also receive daily extras like 50 stamina and 100 gems. Whether the premium pass is worth the price depends on your playstyle, but it’s worth considering if you want maximum efficiency.

Once your chosen VIP duration expires, the bonuses tied to your current VIP level will no longer apply unless you reactivate it. So, keep an eye on your activation status to ensure you’re always reaping the benefits!

The VIP Store and What to Buy

One of the best perks of increasing your VIP level is gaining access to the VIP Store. The great thing about this store is that you don’t need to activate your VIP status to use it. However, the higher your VIP level, the more items become available, and the better the discounts you’ll get every week.

All items in the VIP Store are purchased with diamonds, and some are discounted by as much as 80%, making it an excellent place to stock up on essential resources. You’ll find items like speedups, legendary recruitment tickets, stamina, hero experience, and much more. The store’s inventory resets every Monday, so be sure to grab the deals you need before they expire. Higher VIP levels mean better discounts and access to rarer items, so leveling up your VIP membership can really pay off in the long run!

The 2 Most-wanted Survivors

Another exciting benefit of leveling up your VIP is the chance to purchase two legendary survivors with impressive abilities. If you’re new to the game, survivors are non-combat characters that can be assigned to specific buildings in your base based on their profession. You can manage them through the Talent Hall building.

  • The first VIP-exclusive survivor is Adventurer Taylor, available at VIP Level 1. Taylor can be assigned to your Headquarters and provides extra treasures when completing radar tasks. This makes her a fantastic addition early in the game, especially if you’re looking to maximize your rewards.
  • The second VIP-exclusive survivor is Agent Shirley, unlocked at VIP Level 8. Shirley is also a Headquarters survivor, and her abilities offer significant boosts to your squad’s march size and attack power, making her invaluable for both PvE and PvP activities.

While both survivors are amazing additions, there’s a catch. To unlock their full potential by increasing their star tier and gaining access to all their abilities, you’ll need to purchase additional exclusive packs at higher VIP levels as they do not appear when using standard recruitment tickets, which can be a downside for free-to-play players.
