Season five offers a fascinating wild west theme, and at the time of writing this guide, season 5 has already started on the second large group of early servers in Last War Survival. It’s quite competitive and although it has the same core mechanics as previous seasons, some important changes can affect your progress.
Here are 7 tips that will help you prepare for Season 5 so you can upgrade seasonal buildings faster, do more damage to map zombies, earn more season contribution points and perform better overall. Let’s get started.
If you prefer watching the video version of this guide, here it is:
1. Upgrade the green profession line
This is by far the biggest mistake that many players make before any season in Last War Survival; they start upgrading seasonal buildings and taking down world map zombies before upgrading the profession skills green line.
Putting profession points into the green line should be the first thing you do once Season 5 begins. The skills located on the green line are only available during seasons and the first few skills are crucial.
A few good examples are Combat Experience, which will give you more profession XP for defeating zombies, Building Inspiration 1, which also gives you more profession XP for upgrading the seasonal buildings, or Barista, which helps produce Coffee faster during Season 5.
2. Start saving Stamina
As with all previous seasons, stamina is a vital resource in Last War Survival. You’ll need plenty of it when capturing Bank Strongholds or cities with your allies or taking down zombies and doom elites. Start saving stamina at least 2 weeks before season 5 by reducing world map activities and collecting the stamina bonus twice a day.
I also recommend having the Extra Meal profession skill upgraded before and during seasons 5, so you get 50% more stamina daily.
And if you run out of stamina, the VIP store offers up to 250 stamina for 300 gems at 40% off, much better than purchasing it via the Regain Stamina window, where you only get 100 stamina for the same price.
3. Make CrystalGold deposits early on

CrystalGold deposits are the first available method and most common way to earn season contribution points in Season Five of the Last War game.
I already covered how to make deposits to Stronghold Banks in my previous Last War Season 5 guide, but in a nutshell, you and your allies must first capture the Stronghold Bank.
Once it’s fully captured, you can tap the Stronghold’s Plunder button to send your squads up to 12 times. Participate in Stronghold captures with your allies and make sure you use an Advanced Teleport to teleport your base closer to its location to reduce the marching time.
4. Make the most of your Season 5 boosts
Season 5 brings several easy boosts you shouldn’t overlook. The Turkey Parade Float skin gives an extra truck-plunder reward slot, a small CrystalGold profit bonus, and daily speedups when you hit the like button on bases using it (up to 10 bases every day).
The Happy Turkey decoration adds up to 5% more CrystalGold profit. Venom, Fiona, Stetmann, and Morrison each offer a 10% damage bonus to map monsters and will get special weapons as the season progresses, with Fiona first. Make sure you place the decoration on your base if you already have it unlocked, and use the Turkey skin if you already own it.
5. Take part in the Tetris mini-event

Season 5 offers a few mini-events a week before it begins. These are great to learn a bit more about the main event but also to earn some extra rewards. Among these is also the Gold Prospecting mini-event. The rewards include resource chests and Stamina, which are crucial for Season 5 as I discussed before.
The rules for this Tetris-type event are simple:
- You have 3 attempts, and you must use the given blocks to form full rows or columns.
- At the top of the page, you’ll have 3 types of gems: green, yellow, and blue.
- Try to place as many gems as possible when building your columns and rows.
- When you’ve collected all the required gems, you win.
- If you run out of space, you lose.
Therefore, try to place the blocks strategically and play Gold Prospecting every day to earn more Stamina and resources.
6. Unlock all four coffee factories
Unlocking and upgrading all four Coffee Factories as early as possible is key because they are your main source of Coffee, which you need in huge amounts to level up the Caffeine Institute. The Caffeine Institute boosts your virus resistance for fighting map monsters, but you won’t progress far without a steady flow of Coffee.

To unlock and level these factories, you’ll need plenty of Coffee Beans. You get them from defeating the new zombie types for the first time: Dancer Zombies, Sheriffs, and Cowboys, and from the new Doom Elite bears.
You also earn Coffee Beans from Battle Pass daily tasks and High Noon stages. I already made a full High Noon playlist up to stage 80 if you need help.
My advice is to upgrade each Coffee Factory to level 15 first so you can unlock the next one quickly. After unlocking all four, you can continue upgrading them in any order you prefer.
7. Unlock new special coffee recipes
Unlocking new Special Coffee recipes is one of the fastest ways to raise your Virus Resistance in Season 5 of Last War, which you need to reduce troop losses when capturing Stronghold Banks, Cities, and when clearing map zombies.
The Caffeine Institute has nine special coffees, but only the first one is available by default. It gives a decent 200 VR, while the advanced coffees go up to 500 VR and include strong bonus effects like faster construction speed or extra skill damage. This is why unlocking new recipes as early as possible makes a big difference.

Recipes start appearing in the CrystalGold shop from day five, such as the Cowboy Coffee recipe for 1,000 CrystalGold. The best recipe in my opinion is the Truffle Coffee. It gives 500 VR and a 5% damage boost against map monsters, but it’s also the hardest to get.
It drops from Plague Roosters, which appear randomly on the world map during Season 5, usually after you defeat zombies. If you spot one, attack it quickly because the drop chance for the recipe is low.
You can store up to three brewed coffees at once, and each brew takes 12 hours at first, reduced to 8 hours by upgrading the Barista skill to level 3. Activate your coffee buffs daily because brewing stops once you reach the three-coffee limit.
