10 Key Tips to Get Ahead in Season 3 of Last War Survival

In this guide, I’ll share 10 essential tips and tricks to know before starting Season 3 in Last War Survival. This will help you progress faster and stay ahead of the competition. Learn how to save stamina, maximize seasonal rewards, defeat high-level Doom Elites, and take advantage of Trade Center discounts. Plus, I’ll reveal the best heroes to invest in for monster battles.

10. You’ll need a lot of Stamina, so start saving

This is probably the most important thing you should do to prepare for Season 3. The more stamina you have the more land you can greenify, resulting in more daily Seasonal Contribution points.

Personally, I would minimize my activities that require stamina as much as possible at least 3 weeks before season 3.

But is not all about greenifying land: you’ll need plenty of stamina to attack zombies and doom elites depending on your current curse resistance level. Plus, the new world map monsters called Sandworms will periodically attack random basses and the best way to get rid of them is to attack them with your allies, as you see in this video.

You will also need a lot of stamina when you and your allies start taking new Cities or Digging Strongholds because each squad you send to attack the city will offer you Seasonal Contribution points. And most importantly, you’ll need a lot of stamina to either send your troops to defend your Alliance Center or attack the enemy faction’s Alliance Center during the Spice War event.

9. Stay within your Alliance Center Area

Alliance Center benefits: buffs and resource production

If you remember, in Season 2, we had to stay within the alliance furnace area to avoid having the base frozen. Well, in Season 3 is also wise to stay while you don’t take part in alliance activities like rallies or conquering cities with your allies.

There are two major reasons for this: First, bases that are within the alliance territory get amazing buffs like durability damage, march speed and more, all depending on the current level of your alliance center.

Reason number two why you should stay withing the Alliance center is because in Season 3 Large Sandworms can randomly knock out bases that are outside of their territory.

When that happens, your base will be randomly teleported on the map and you’ll need to use a teleporter to get back. Is not a huge loss but why spending your gems or contribution points to buy teleporters when you can use them for shields or other useful items.

8. Defeat 3 Wandering Mummy Warlords daily

Wandering Warlords are your best source for Mithril in the early stages of Season 3, with Alliance Center offering much more as its level increases. You should attack daily.

If I remember correctly, in the first few weeks, there were 3 First Defeat rewards per day, but now I see only one. But let me know in the comments if you see one or more daily rewards on your server. Basically, this reward is a guaranteed drop of Mithril, gold, hero xp, battle data for your drone, one survivor and many more.

The best thing about Wandering Mummy Warlords is that they do not require Curse Resistance.

Start a rally and ask your allies to join or simply share the rally on the alliance chat. Keep in mind that if you fail to defeat them, they will target the rally creator’s base (meaning yours) and you will see a red flashy screen.

When they reach your base they will attack it and decrease its durability a bit. To avoid this, target the same Warlord group, start the rally and cancel it right after. Or try defeating them again.

7. Expand Your Greenified Tiles

One of the smartest strategies in Season 3 is maximizing the area you greenify with each recon plane. This can be achieved by unlocking the Double Greenification skill from professional skill level 35.

This skill is available to both professions: Engineer and War Leader. With this skill you can cover 3 squares of land instead of one. Why is this important? Because it not only saves you stamina (each recon plane you send costs 10 stamina) but also helps increase the chances of finding Desert Artifacts, also known as Ruins.

These mysterious buildings offer the highest number of Season Contribution points, which means will help you progress faster and hopefully be among the top 3 players on the Exploration tab.

You might also take advantage of the Nature’s Touch skill, which instantly transforms a 9×9 area into a green land. You can use it once every 48 hours.

6. Beat high curse resistance Doom Elites

While in Season 2 we had virus resistance as an additional requirement for challenging zombies and doom elites on the map, in Season 3 we have something similar. It’s called curse resistance and can be increased by leveling up the Curse Research Lab building.

If the monsters you want to attack have a much higher curse resistance than yours, your squad’s power will be significantly reduced by down to -99%. Basically you’ll deal no damage and lose a lot of units.

And yes, the higher the level of Doom Elite or zombie group the more seasonal resources you can receive. Which is why attacking high-level doom elites is something you should prioritize.

And here’s the catch: if you are in a helping and active alliance, you might one try this: create a rally with your weakest hero (just one) and ask some of your strongest allies to help you take down that desired high-level Doom Elite.

Having a low level hero will ensure you don’t have too many units in your squad which means less units lost. But remember to give more details in the chat so your allies know why you have only one hero in your squad. Likewise, you could join rallies created by your allies with your weakest hero if you want to minimize troop loss. But again, is better to let your allies know first.

5. Visit the Alliance Center daily

Besides the mentioned buffs, Alliance Centers in season 3 are an excellent way to get Seasonal Resources such as Mithril and Sacred Water but also Oil.

The generated amount depends on the current level of this building. For example, our Alliance Center is level 17, which produces:

  • Almost 35,000 Mithril per hour
  • 8640 Sacred Water per hour.
  • 600 Oil per hour

And here’s the tip for you: to get all these resources, you must visit the Alliance Center daily and tap the 3 resource bubbles to collect them.

I recommend doing this at least twice a day. This will help you level up your seasonal buildings and get more professional points faster.

4. It’s ok to lose troops

I know, troops play a major role in gaining power in Last War Survival, but in Season 3 there’s a good use for that. Each time you lose units, a small portion will be converted into Desert Protectors that I discussed in one of our previous guides.

Helping my allies convert units into protectors faster

These units are 10 times stronger than the regular units for a specific tier. For example, if your highest unit tier is 8 and you engage in PvP or tough zombie battles, a small portion of your tier 8 units will become Desert Protectors offering 10 times higher stats than your tier 8 units.

The downside of using Desert Protectors is that you lose them with each battle, so you’ll need to constantly convert more. These are great for attacking strong doom elites or even high level zombies.

3. Take advantage of Trade Post Stores

Starting from week 2 of season 3, a new type of building gets unlocked on the world map: Trade Post. These buildings can be conquered by players within the same server or other servers.

The ones that will manage to occupy a trade center will have a Governor position, which will offer them a certain percentage of the total gems spent there. But that’s not the only advantage of these buildings.

They will offer various discounted items every day, items like speedups, recruitment tickets, trap landmines and many more. So I recommend checking them out on the map and see if you can find some great deals during season 3.

2. Uncover Vault Desert Artifacts

Also from week 2 a new mini event becomes available in Season 3, Desert Treasure. This is where you can use your Archaeologist Hammers collected from the guy waiting in front of the gate that looks like Indiana Jones.

All you have to do is to tap the event box and smash stones to uncover secret artifacts. Once you discover all 3 artifacts, you can tap the chest at the top to collect the rewards which are quite impressive.

You get 400,000 Mithril, one Universal Exclusive Weapon Shard, level-tied resource chests, and speedups.

The good thing about it is that there will be multiple vaults every day until the end of the season. We will soon release a video where we show the position of each artifact in every vault so you don’t waste your Archaeology Hammers. Make sure you subscribe to our Weekly Newsletter to be notified.

1. Focus on strengthening these heroes

My last tip would be regarding the damage reduction bonuses in monster battles. There are 4 heroes you should be focusing on this season: Scarlett, who is also the next SSR hero to be promoted to URMarshall, Schuyler, and McGregor.

Scarlett offers a 5% damage reduction while the other 3 heroes offer 10%. This is why I recommend investing in these heroes early on and using them in season 3 to defeat monsters more easily.

This ends our tips and tricks for Season 3. Let me know if you have any tips to share.

  1. Thank you so much for this guide! I did not know about Trade Store discounts. And it a shame they but 5% bonus instead of 10% on Scarlett..
